ADI unites with politicians and celebs to Stop Circus Suffering in the US!

The Traveling Exotic Animal and Public Safety Protection Act (TEAPSPA), which would end the suffering of wild and exotic animals in traveling shows throughout the US, was introduced in Congress on May 21, 2019.

Watch the video now, featuring actors Ed Asner, Eric Roberts, Mindy Sterling, Eric Szmanda, Alexandra Paul, Tonya Kay, James Cromwell, Kim Matula, and Brian Blessed, plus director Danny Boyle, musician Moby, and songwriter Diane Warren!

TEAPSPA sponsors Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ), David Schweikert (R-AZ), ADI President Jan Creamer, and other campaign supporters have concluded that ending traveling wild animal acts is the only practical approach to protecting public safety and tackling the animal suffering inherent to the industry. Other celebrity supporters for the 2019 reintroduction include Kal Penn, Joaquin Phoenix and Rachel Bloom.

The bipartisan bill is expected to receive widespread public support, as across 32 states in the US, 92 jurisdictions have already banned or restricted the use of wild animals in traveling shows, often citing animal welfare and public safety concerns. Around the world, 45 countries have banned wild animal acts.

ADI advocates the change of business model to human-performance circuses, which are popular, provide employment and stimulate the economy, without exposing citizens to stressed and abused animals.

Please support TEAPSPA (HR2863), the bill that would secure a national US ban on traveling wild animal acts!
